This Privacy Policy describes how US Support LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Mugshot.Chat (the "Service").

Information We Collect

When you use our Service, we may collect the following information:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your username, email address, and password (stored securely using encryption).
• Chat Messages: Messages you post in chat rooms are stored on our servers. This includes messages addressed to the AI assistant, which are stored as ordinary chat messages and nothing more — see AI Assistant below.
• Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your interaction with the Service, including IP addresses, browser type, and access times.
• Cookies: We use session cookies to maintain your login state and preferences.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process your registration and manage your account
• Display your messages in chat rooms
• Protect against fraud and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Public Chat: Messages you post are visible to other users of the Service.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service.
• Not with AI providers: We do not send your messages to any third-party AI or machine-learning service. The assistant described below runs on our own hardware.

AI Assistant

The chat includes an automated assistant called Clerk, labelled with an AI badge on every message it posts.

• It runs on our own hardware. The language model behind Clerk is hosted locally on the same infrastructure as the rest of the Service. Your messages are not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other third-party AI provider, and no third party receives your chat contents for the purpose of generating its replies.
• It does not create a new store of your data. Clerk reads the messages already posted in the public chat room in order to reply. Nothing extra is retained: there is no separate transcript, conversation history, training corpus, or profile built from what you say to it. The only record is the ordinary chat message itself, held exactly as described under Data Retention below.
• Your messages are not used to train it. We do not use your chat contents to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve any AI model.
• Its replies are public. Clerk posts into the same public room as everyone else, so anything you ask it and anything it answers is visible to other users. Do not send it information you would not post publicly.

Clerk's answers are generated automatically and may be wrong. They are not legal advice. See section 7 of our Terms of Service.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of passwords using industry-standard hashing algorithms
• HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Regular security audits and updates

Data Retention

We retain your account information and chat messages for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
