Do I need an account to chat?
No. Pick a display name and you can post straight away. An account is only worth it if you want that name reserved so nobody else can use it.
Do you need my email address?
Never. Registration asks for a username and an avatar, nothing else. We generate a strong password and a recovery code for you and show them once — there is no address to verify and nothing to unsubscribe from.
What if I lose my password?
Use the recovery code you saved when you signed up. It issues a fresh password and a fresh recovery code, and retires the old pair. Without that code an account cannot be recovered, which is the trade for not collecting an email address.
Why did my link disappear?
Links posted by guests and new accounts are stripped automatically. It is the single measure that keeps an open, no-signup room from filling up with spam.
Can I be banned?
Yes. Moderators can delete any message, mute an account for a set time, and ban an account or an IP address outright. Doxxing, threats and targeting private individuals get an immediate ban.
